
Meet Riddhita Chatterjee
Riddhita is a passionate and experienced piano and keyboard teacher based in Richmond, UK. She began her musical journey at the age of five with Hindustani classical vocals in Kolkata, India, before discovering her enduring love for the piano. Her musical education culminated in earning the Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) in Piano Performance, a prestigious diploma that reflects her advanced technical skill and deep musical understanding.
With over 15 years of teaching experience, Riddhita has dedicated herself to nurturing musical talent at all levels. She is the founder of Musicminim, a well-regarded music school in India that offers instruction in a wide range of disciplines—including Piano, Keyboards, Guitar, Drums, Hindustani Vocals, Carnatic Vocals, and Western Vocals. Under her leadership, Musicminim has grown into a vibrant learning community, staffed by skilled educators and serving students of all ages and backgrounds.In 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped global education, Riddhita seamlessly transitioned to online teaching. This shift expanded her student base internationally, and she now teaches learners across India, the Netherlands, Singapore, the UAE, the UK, and the USA. Her ability to build meaningful connections through virtual lessons has made high-quality music education accessible and engaging, regardless of geography.
After relocating to the UK in 2024, Riddhita completed the Enhanced DBS check and began teaching at two established music schools while simultaneously building her own private teaching practice in Richmond. Her diverse experience—across cultures, platforms, and musical styles—enriches her teaching and allows her to tailor instruction to each student’s unique goals and learning style.In addition to her music credentials, Riddhita holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), one of India’s premier academic institutions. She initially pursued a successful career in the corporate sector before making a full-time transition into the world of music and education, where her true passion lies.
Today, Riddhita offers personalised piano and keyboard instruction to students of all ages and abilities, from absolute beginners to those preparing for grade exams with Trinity, ABRSM, or the Royal School of Music. Her teaching approach combines the structure and discipline of classical piano training with the expressive richness of her Hindustani roots—creating a learning experience that is both technically sound and emotionally fulfilling.Her students value her warm, encouraging style, her keen attention to musicality, and her commitment to their individual growth. Many have flourished under her guidance—performing in recitals, achieving graded certifications, and developing a lifelong love for music.
